Kestrel Powder Coatings
Here at Kestrel we recommend Dulux Powder-Coatings and Interpon Powder-Coatings for a fade resistance, immaculate finish that’s also made to endure our Aussie outdoors. Colours are available in a wide array of solid, textured and pearlescent finishes and are free of volatile solvents and toxic pigments. Highly durable polyesters are an ideal choice for architectural residential fittings such as aluminium windows and doors. They are equally suited to interior products and other metal surfaces.
Caring for Powder Coated Surfaces
The effects of ultra violet light, pollution, dirt, grime and salt, can all accumulate on powder-coated surfaces over time. To extend the life of powder coatings and protect any warranty requirements that exist, a simple regular maintenance program should be undertaken. In general, cleaning should take place every six months. In coastal or industrial regions, every three months is recommended.
To clean your powder coated surface:
- Carefully remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge.
- Use a soft, non-abrasive brush or cloth and a mild household detergent solution to remove dust, salt and other deposits.
- Rinse off with clean fresh water.
